Addressing the pressing need for an efficient template management solution, Michael Hahn, who part of the Executive Board and Head of IT at Niederer AG, came to officeatwork to address this issue. We presented him with a solution comprised of the
Template Chooser,
Wizard,
Content Chooser, and
Designer to simplify their template and content management.
The Template Chooser emerged as a pivotal app in overcoming their challenges. It provided a unified platform where employees could easily access and utilize standardized document templates, while integrating with their SharePoint database, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition. The Designer enabled their specialists to create all templates with ease. Having 6 branches across Switzerland meant that they required customization of their templates with specific information and data which was taken care off by the Wizard. This flexibility ensured that each branch could tailor documents to their requirements while minimizing the maintenance for their IT department. The Content Chooser addressed the need for a centralized content management system, allowing Niederer AG to create content building blocks for their vast number of contracts and insert them effortlessly into the documents.
Furthermore, due to the intuitive setup of the Apps, Michael Hahn seamlessly created and synchronized all templates with the company's SharePoint data for every branch by himself with just a brief introductory session lasting 30 minutes.
The combination of these apps and ease of setting it up offered a comprehensive solution that not only streamlined Niederer AG's template and document management but also aligned with their digital transformation goals.
